AURN Informational Picket This Thursday!

Posted By AURN, Monday, June 26, 2023

Reminder! This Thursday, June 29 from 5 - 8 p.m., we will be holding our informational picket at OHSU, gathering at the Mac Lawn on the hill (set GPS to the OHSU Farmers Market). Family, friends, and our fellow OHSU workers are invited to join us to take a stand for safe staffing for nurses and patients!

For waterfront nurses or those that can park at the waterfront: Contract Action Team (CAT) members will be waiting by the entries of CHH, CHH2, and the bike valet at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to ride up the tram together. Please gather at those locations after you get off work if possible. If you need to head up before/after those times, that's great too!

For AURN nurses, if you haven't already pledged your support to picket and RSVP, go here.
For community members to RSVP please go here.

After 1,800 ONA nurses and health care workers at Providence Portland Medical Center, Providence Seaside Hospital, and Providence Home Health & Hospice held the first successful nurses’ strike in Oregon in more than 20 years last week, more than 3,500 ONA nurses head to the picket lines across the OHSU hospital system this week with informational pickets scheduled at OHSU, OHSU Hillsboro and Columbia Memorial Hospital, an OHSU partner, June 27-29.

Now is the time to vote with your feet and show how important these issues are to every nurse. Show your support by coming before or after your shift or while on a break! Together we make the difference!
