There has never been a better time, or a greater need, for nurses to take up leadership positions with the Oregon Nurses Association. The past two years have proven that nurses deserve to lead – to help shape the crucial conversations we are having within
our union and professional association and within our hospitals and our legislature. Now is the time to help set the course for ONA – within your bargaining units, within our House of Delegates, and in statewide elected positions!
We all have a responsibility to each other and our patients to
support our colleagues and our professional association. Becoming a
member of ONA is the gateway to many opportunities to make a real
difference in our practice and each other's lives. For members, there
are many ways to serve:

Facility Committee Membership
Many committees at your facility require ONA membership. These
committees have a direct impact on how your unit is staffed and
the influence that staff nurses have on patient care.
Contact your local labor representative or ONA nurse practice consultant to learn more and get involved.
Local Representative Bargaining Unit Positions

some point in their career. No experience is necessary, only a desire to
assist your co-workers!
