ONA’s Professional Services program offers opportunities to learn about scope and standards of nursing practice, nursing practice trends, and evidence- and research-based solutions to practice issues.
A critical component of ONA’s purpose is to promote safe nursing practice that is evidence-based, meets the scope of nursing practice as defined by the profession and by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. In addition, a nurse’s specialty organization,
laws and related regulations provide direction for nurse practice in this state.
