Membership Applications

ONA provides four membership categories:

• Professional Union Members: for healthcare workers represented by collective bargaining agreements who have ratified a contract. These members pay union dues.

• Newly Organized Union Members (Power In Membership): for healthcare workers who are represented for collective bargaining but have not ratified a first contract. These units are generally newly organized and have been recently certified. These members pay transitional dues, a reduced rate.

• Professional Association Members: for registered nurses and advanced practice nurses across the state who do not work in union represented facilities. These members pay professional association dues. 

• Student Affiliate Members: for students in any Oregon nursing program. *Please note if you have your RN license, you are not eligible to join ONA as a student affiliate. RNs who are currently enrolled full-time in, or are recent graduates of, nursing programs can receive discounts on ONA Professional Association membership.

Each category has unique benefits, ranging from discounted Continuing Education opportunities to corporate discounts on hotels and vacations, from legal counseling to newsletters, and everything in between. Your membership in ONA saves you money and helps promote our profession.

Special Reduced Dues Discount for New Grads!

ONA recently amended its bylaws to provide a discount on dues for recent grads. If you are a new graduate who has recently become a licensed RN, please call the ONA membership department at (503) 293-0011 to learn more about possible discounts on dues.
