The ONA Government Relations staff and volunteers advocate for the best working conditions for our members and the very best health care for our patients. Through our work, nurses make a difference across the state in patients' lives each day. We reach out to community partners, elected officials and other health care organizations advocating these same goals.
Advocacy work in Salem and during elections helps ONA achieve its policy goals and improve Oregon’s nurses’ ability to provide high-quality, highly-skilled professional care.
The ONA Government Relations department staffs the Cabinet on Health Policy, Oregon Nurses Political Action Committee (ON-PAC), and the Nurses United Political Action Committee (NU-PAC).
Community Partners
ONA is proud to partner with a wide range of advocacy groups and coalitions throughout the state. Here are a few of our partners!
