Nurses have reported that the Working Spousal Surcharge of $150 per month was being withheld from their pay, in cases where the nurses timely submitted attestations that it should not be withheld. Consova, the third party administrator, appears to have misplaced forms that were submitted. Providence and Consova initially refused to stop the withholdings or to reimburse the nurse for these amounts withheld

We received a response to the grievance in November. Providence agreed to end the withholdings, but would repay only a portion, not all, of the surcharge payments withheld.
