2025 ONA Legislative Session Report

This year ONA worked to support a variety of bills including legislation to end workplace violence against healthcare workers, improve staffing in home health and hospice, and allow striking workers to utilize unemployment insurance.

ONA’s Political Action Committees (PACs) have endorsed these pro-nursing candidates based on a variety of factors including, voting record, support for nurse issues and overall alignment with ONA values and priorities.

Oregon’s 2024 Legistlative Report

We supported a variety of bills that partner organizations brought forward that did pass, and put most of our advocacy towards a bill pertaining to workplace violence that unfortunately did not. These bills are all discussed in this report and organized by subject matter areas that tie to ONA’s Health Policy Platform.
