ATRIO Health Plans donates to ONF COVID-19 Response and Relief Fund

Atrio representatives present donation to ONF Board.(Tualatin, OR) - ATRIO Health Plans announced today a donation of $10,000 to the Oregon Nurses Foundation’s Coronavirus Response and Relief Fund.  The Oregon Nurses Association (ONA), which administers the Foundation, will direct these funds to support nurses in Marion and Polk counties who have been negatively impacted by the recent pandemic.

“As COVID-19 spreads throughout our communities, we want to provide assistance to those organizations serving the critical needs of our valued frontline workers,” said Wendy Edwards, President, ATRIO Health Plans.  “We’re partnering with the Oregon Nurses Foundation to support their efforts to care for the important needs of our nurse caregivers.”

“We’re very pleased to accept this generous donation on behalf of the many nurses who are experiencing disruption in their lives caused by COVID-19,” said Larlene Dunsmuir, Executive Director, Oregon Nurses Foundation. “The Oregon Nurses Foundation is working relentlessly to keep nurses and our communities safe during this pandemic This donation allows us to support nurses impacted by shifting work demands and staffing changes that have resulted in lost wages due to self-quarantining or furloughs; increased costs for travel, meals and lodging, and childcare; and the need to purchase personal protective equipment (PPE).”
