St. Charles Prineville Hospital Replacing Pioneer Memorial

As a part of their agreement to operate the Hospital in Prineville, St. Charles is constructing in new hospital that will replace Pioneer Memorial Hospital (PMH). The current PMH hospital building was built in the 1950s, and that building is owned by the PMH Board and is leased to St Charles Healthcare System.

The new 62,000 foot hospital, St. Charles Prineville Hospital (STC-P), will open on a new site in the summer of 2015. The PMH Board has not been managing the Hospital’s day-to-day operations since St Charles took over operations in 2008. The PMH Board remained in existence to manage the assets (physical building, leased to St Charles) and they will likely sell the old Hospital building after the new facility opens. The new hospital building is owned by St. Charles.

The name change to St. Charles Prineville Hospital will officially take effect upon opening the new hospital. All current operations are expected to transfer to the new site in September.

In preparation for the change, ONA has begun changing our references of Pioneer Memorial Hospital to reflect the new name, St. Charles Prineville Hospital.
