Exciting Momentum with 700 ONA Nurses on the Picket Line on March 15!
After
two years of working under-resourced, understaffed, and underpaid for
Oregon's most extensive health system that made over a $billion in
profit during the life of our last contract, hundreds of ONA Providence
nurses showed they're unified and committed to making systemic change
for nurses and patients! More than 700 ONA RNs, fellow caregivers, and
community supporters united and stood together as we demand
improvements.
The press also took notice identifying the "huge crowds" and covered Providence nurses' top priorities, including
- Improved Safety Standards
- Nurse to Patient Staffing Levels in our Contracts
- Affordable healthcare and adequate paid leave.
- Equitable Overall pay rates and retention bonuses
