ONA Nurses Celebrate Election of ONA Member Rachel Prusak to the State Legislature

ONA Nurses Supporting Rachel Prusak

“I’m incredibly proud to be chosen to represent our community as the next state representative for House District 37. Over the last year, I’ve had the privilege of meeting thousands of Oregonians in Tualatin, West Linn and Stafford; listening to their stories and sharing our vision of what our community needs: high-quality, affordable health care, strong schools, small business investments and clean air and water.

I’m extremely grateful to the voters who have put their trust in me to get the job done and to the many tireless volunteers who made this victory possible. I chose to run for office because I know that we can do better together. I’m looking forward to getting to work.”

“Oregon’s nurses have stood with Rachel Prusak from Day 1. When she saw that working families in her community needed a stronger advocate in Salem she set out to beat the odds and became the first nurse practitioner elected to the Oregon Legislature.

Rachel embodies what it means to be a nurse and a leader. She is the same hard-working, compassionate professional whether she is caring for a patient at the bedside or advocating for her community at the statehouse. Oregonians have elected a strong nurse leader who cares about everyone in her community and who will stand up to fight for them.”
