Larlene Dunsmuir, DNP, FNP, ANP-C

Larlene Dunsmuir joined ONA in Oct. 2015. Practicing as a family nurse practitioner (FNP) since 1993 – most recently in immediate/urgent care at Providence Medical Group, Portland. She also teaches in the University of Portland’s (UP’s) graduate school of nursing, where she works primarily with doctor of nurse practitioner (DNP) students. Dr. Dunsmuir received her BSN and MSN from UP, then completed her DNP at Chatham University in Pittsburgh. She has served as the Nurse Practitioners of Oregon (NPO’s) Education Committee chair for the past ten years.
Jordan Ferris, RN, BSN, CMSRN

Jordan joined ONA as an Acute Care Nurse Practice Consultant at the beginning of 2015. Jordan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience directly from her last eight years as a bedside nurse at Oregon Health & Science University. While at OHSU Jordan was in the Acute Care Float Pool and was floating to 14 different units across the acute care spectrum. Prior to her experience at OHSU she attended and graduated with honors from Walla Walla University. In addition to having her BSN, Jordan also holds a certification from the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses as a Certified Medical-Surgical RN.
Therese O'Donnell, MHS, BSN, RN

Therese O'Donnell is proud to be the newest member to join ONA as a Nurse Practice Consultant. She has been a registered nurse since 2011 and has experience in Rehab, ICU, and Telemetry. Additionally, she has experience in global health having worked in rural Kenya for four months in 2014. Prior to joining ONA, she worked as a telemetry nurse at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Idaho while also working at Boise State University’s Center for Health Policy as a member of a team whose primary research focused on the effects of home visiting as an early intervention strategy in promoting maternal, infant, and early childhood health and development. In addition, she has experience in program evaluation and qualitative research and has worked on studies related to burnout among home visitors and experiences of first time fathers enrolled in home visiting programs. As of May 2017, Therese obtained her Masters of Health Science with an emphasis in health policy and a Graduate Certificate in College Teaching. She is eager to use her skills and expertise to work for nurses’ rights and keeping patients safe.

PK Martin, BS

PK joined ONA Professional Services in February 2008, and has gained knowledge and experience with almost all the programs offered by the department. Her primary responsibilities include administration oversight of OCEAN online continuing education (CE) and coordination of the CE Approver Unit. She also assists in many of the planning functions related to the live CE programs offered by ONA, NPO and other groups within the association. Her research efforts include assisting with the statistical analysis of any research content and supporting the overall presentation of research findings and evidence. PK holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon. Go Ducks!!!
