Membership Information

There are a lot of benefits to being an ONA member, but there are also some responsibilities. Here are some important things each member should know to ensure their member status is accurate and to help get the most out of their membership.

Responsibility to Notify of Change of Dues Category

In compliance with ONA bylaws Article III, Section 1, A (policy 2.52), it is the responsibility of the individual RN to notify ONA of a change in factors that would change her/his rate of membership dues, such as: an increase or decrease in FTE status, changing facilities, or leaving the bargaining unit. No monies shall be refunded, nor additional monies collected, when a change of dues category is made within a membership year.

Change of Workplace or Contact Information

As a member of ONA, please be aware that while we normally get notifications from facilities when RNs are hired or when they leave their position at the facility, it is important that the individual RN contact ONA to notify Member Services of any change of workplace or contact information to ensure a smooth transition. Nurses who move out of an ONA bargaining unit while staying at a facility need to notify ONA of this change.
