Your ONA Legacy Silverton bargaining unit leadership is proposing some amendments to the bargaining unit bylaws. You can find a summary of the changes below.
Voting on the bylaws amendments will take place March 17-21 via electronic ballot. All members in good standing in the Legacy Silverton bargaining unit will receive the ballot via email and/or text message. Please visit www.OregonRN.org/update to update your email on file and opt into text messaging if you have not already done so.
Summary of Amendments:
- Executive committee nominations and elections are amended to reflect electing the executive team directly instead of them being elected from unit representatives to provide a more direct process for electing leadership.
- Unit representatives will now be appointed to the positions to provide more opportunities for unit representation as needed without the requirement of a special election
- Clean up language regarding PNCC and bylaws amendment voting requirements to better reflect the current practices.
