2020 ONA Statewide Elections

ONA is actively seeking enthusiastic, engaged nurses to run for leadership in our organization’s internal elections! Many positions in ONA leadership is up for election this year, and you can run for office no matter where in Oregon you live.

Serving as a statewide leader in ONA is a rewarding opportunity for you to give a voice to yourself and your coworkers on the most important issues facing nursing today. Step up for your coworkers – run for ONA office today!

The candidate nomination period has been extended through Saturday, Feb. 8.

Dates and Deadlines

  • Jan. 1, 2020 - Nomination Period Opens
  • Feb.8, 2020 - Nomination Period Closes
  • Feb. 24, 2020 - Elections Open
  • April 7, 2020 - Elections Close
  • July 1, 2020 - Elected leaders take office

The following positions are open for nominations and elections during the 2020 ONA Statewide Elections. For open positions for delegates or on cabinets or the board, the number of open positions is indicated in parentheses. Click on the position name to see a full job description for that role.

*The open elected position on the Cabinet on Health Policy is for an advance practice nurse.

**Seats on the Cabinet on Economic & General Welfare are designated for representatives from specific geographic regions. See the chart below for current availability.
