Providence has notified ONA that it will enforce the flu policy more vigorously beginning in 2019. For updates on the enforcement process, please read the Nov. 27, 2019 newsletter.

Peds and PICU

Update on CVOR Staffing Plan and Grievance: OHA mediation requested after second impasse reached.

On September 17, the HWSC again reviewed the proposed staffing plans and was unable to reach agreement and declared impasse.

Contract Update: Education Leave and Fund Reopener

Please read the Nov. 27 Newsletter for important information about the Education fund and leave.

Demand to Bargain over RQI / Training Time

Last summer we demanded to bargain over the change in terms and conditions of employment that resulted when Providence eliminated the paid release time for BLS, ALS, ACLS training, and in most cases required nurses complete online modules during shifts under the new RQI program. Nurses in the AED circulated a petition asking ONA to bargain this change. Read the employer’s response to our demand to bargain here.

We met twice in October and November and have been exchanging proposals. Click here for ONA's Nov. 27 proposal.
