ONA Expresses Profound Regret at Governor Kitzhaber's Resignation
TUALATIN Ore. (Feb. 13, 2013) – The Oregon Nurses Association (ONA) expresses deep regret upon learning of Governor John Kitzhaber’s resignation earlier today. Kitzhaber’s 35 year contribution to the state of Oregon and its citizens has been notable and his legacy is strong.

ONA Executive Director Susan King, RN, MA, CEN, FAAN stated “I have worked with John Kitzhaber on important health policy issues since the late 1970s and am greatly saddened. His leadership in forging a more rational, effective and affordable health care system is unparalleled and the Oregon Nurses Association has lost a strong partner.”

ONA joins other businesses and organizations in recognizing the governor for his leadership, spirit of collaboration and commitment to enhancing citizen’s lives as well as the region we call home.
