CNS Survey

Oregon Council of Clinical Nurse Specialists, a special interest group of Oregon Nurses Association and an Affiliate of National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, conducts a survey of CNSs in the state of Oregon on a regular basis. This particular survey occurs 10 years after the 2002 extensive survey of CNSs in the state. It is important that this work be done so that not only can we learn what is changing in CNS practice, but also what barriers and new opportunities exist.

There are six (6) sections in the survey: demographics; practice characteristics and satisfaction; salary and benefits; CNS education; career trajectory and plans; and opportunities for CNSs to collaborate.

We estimate that the online survey will take 10-15 minutes, and we recommend that you take the survey in one sitting. When you enter the survey, you may go back and forth between the various sections of the survey, but if you exit the survey, you will not be able to re-enter the survey and change your responses or add information.

Your responses are confidential, and your name will never be associated with your comments. A final report of the survey findings will be posted on the ONA website and made available to you as a hard copy. The survey findings will also be used to plan activities for the coming year.

  • The Survey is now closed.  Thank you for your participation.

Hard copies are available by contacting Pisith Kong, survey support, at 503-293-0011 ext. 335.

Thank you for your participation in this important work.
