Workshops: Understanding Oregon’s Nurse Staffing Law
  • Is your unit staffed safely all the time?
  • Have you experienced short staffing situations that affected patient care?
  • Are you on a staffing committee?
  • Do you know who your staffing committee representatives are?

ONA Constituent Association 4 is proud to sponsor the workshop, "Understanding Oregon's Nurse Staffing Law," held at the Smullins Center on the campus of Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford, and offered at two different times: Friday, February 22 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. and Saturday, February 23 from 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Oregon’s Nurse Staffing Law: Is it Working for You?

Since the nurse staffing law for all acute care facilities was enacted in 2005, much has changed in health care. These workshops are intended to:

  • Bring staff nurses up to date about the law and how it affects nursing care staffing
  • Help you evaluate nurse staffing in hospitals and in your practice
  • Learn how the law is implemented and whether changes are needed
  • Suggest changes that may be needed

If you work in an acute care facility, you can’t afford to miss this workshop!
