Providence Open Enrollment

Providence will start open enrollment for 2013 benefits for nurses the week of December 23 through the 28. It will be an online registration process.

You simply log into ProvConnect and take action under the Benefits tab. You can access ProvConnect from work at or at home or elsewhere at

Once you are logged into ProvConnect click on the Open Enrollment link from the Employee Self-Service Menu (on the left hand side of the screen). You can do this from anywhere in the world provided it is a Windows based PC. (If you are a Mac user you will need to get online using a Windows based PC.)

We know that some nurses completed open enrollment in the fall with the rest of Providence’s employees even though they technically were not supposed to go through the process. If you are a nurse who accidentally did open enrollment in the fall you need to go through the process again. Please follow the steps above.

If for some reason you fail to enroll your benefit selection will default to the health reimbursement account (HRA--current plan) with the same level of coverage that you had this year (employee only, employee and spouse or partner, employee and children, or employee and full-family). If you have ProvDental you will default to the Delta Dental PPO 1500 plan. If you have ProvDental Plus or ODS Network Dental you will default to the Delta Dental PPO 2000.

Please understand if you want to sign up for supplemental benefits, if you need to make changes to your flexible spending account (FSA), you need to complete online open enrollment.

One final reminder, please complete your bio-metric screen and your primary care provider attestation in by the end of January or you will lose out on the $700 that Providence will contribute to your HRA or health savings account (HSA) account.
