Loretta Smith Earns ONA Endorsement

Loretta Smith has earned the endorsement of the Oregon Nurses Association as candidate for Multnomah County Commissioner, District 2.

"Loretta has the background and the skills needed to represent not just nurses, but the people of Multnomah County. We are pleased to support Loretta and deeply value her commitment to the health and human services the County provides and to the role that nurses play in delivering those vital services.” says Sheri Malstrom, RN, BSN Multnomah County Health Department Community Health Nurse. Sheri is also the vice president of the Oregon Nurse Political Action Committee.

Loretta has spent the last 20 years working for Senator Ron Wyden in Multnomah County. As a County Commissioner she will create jobs through the promotion of small business, and improve services to our youth and seniors. The election is November 2nd.

"I am proud to receive the endorsement of the Oregon Nurses Association.” said Smith. "From our correction facilities to our hospitals to our schools, nurses are there for us when we need them and as a Multnomah County Commissioner I will fight to make sure they have the resources they need to do their job.”

Loretta Smith has added to her growing list of supporters with the endorsement of the Oregon Nurses Association. She has also been endorsed by AFSCME Local 88, United Food and Commercial Workers Local 555, the Columbia Pacific Building Trades, the NW Oregon Labor Council, AFL-CIO, Teamsters Joint Council 27, and the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 82.
