ONA Asks Oregonians to Support Haitian Disaster Relief

Tualatin, OR - The Oregon Nurses Association conveys its deepest sympathies to the people of Haiti whose lives, homes and families have been devastated by the recent earthquake. ONA’s members are committed to helping people in need, and we call upon all nurses, medical professionals and citizens of Oregon to help the people of Haiti during this catastrophe.

ONA has made a contribution to Medical Teams International, a Tigard based international relief organization, and is asking all ONA members to consider doing the same.

"The amazing people at MTI are in the air right now, as we speak, sending desperately needed specialized medical personnel to Haiti to help,” said Susan King, ONA’s Executive Director. "We are proud of the nurses who have the training and experience necessary to make a difference on the ground in Haiti. We encourage all nurses in the state of Oregon, and across the country, to dig deep into their hearts, and wallets, and make a donation today,” King said.
