House Passes Health Care Reform Bill

11/09/09 - House lawmakers passed "H.R. 3962, the Affordable Health Care for America Act. by a vote of 220-215 in a Saturday session.

Health Care Reform passed the U.S. House of Representatives on Saturday November 7, 2009, by 220-215, with 39 democrats voting "no" and 1 republican, Rep. Cao of LA, voting "yes". Oregon's delegation did us proud with 4 of 5 Representatives voting "YES!"

Thanks to all who called, lobbied, and took to the streets! Now, we move our focus to the Senate. Please stay involved and keep advocating for comprehensive health reform -- this is just one step along the road!
