ONA Board of Directors Bios

Katy Cooper, RN
Katy Cooper, RN, is currently the president of the ONA Board of Directors. Katy is an RN at Oregon Health & Science University, where she was the chairperson of the Association of University Registered Nurses bargaining unit from 2010 to 2014, leading the nurses through two successful contract negotiations and working hard to improve the bargaining unit's infrastructure while creating a strong working relationship with administration.
Lynda Pond, RN

Lynda Pond, ADN, RN, Sacred Heart Medical Center (SHMC), Eugene joined the ONA board of directors in 2015. Before that, she was the chair of the Cabinet on E&GW. Lynda served as a member of the SHMC grievance committee, co-chair of the staffing committee, a bargaining team member, chair of the PNCC (2000-2001) and District 5 board member. Lynda was a key participant in the implementation of HB2800 and currently sits on the advisory committee of the ONA-Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems (OAHHS). Lynda is a hospital charge nurse and her primary nursing specialty is maternal and child health.

Marguerite Gutierrez, RN
Marguerite Gutierrez has been an RN for 38 years, currently practicing at St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton. At St. Anthony, she works in the PACU and day surgery and serves on the negotiating team, the staffing committee and is the chair of the PNCC. In her career she has been a board member of the Oregon State Board of Nursing (including two terms as president), as well as serving as a board member of the Oregon Center for Nursing and the Oregon Nurse Leadership Collaborative. She also is adirector and volunteer at Pioneer Relief Nursery which serves high-risk families in Eastern Oregon with early intervention, focusing on preserving families and guiding successful and resilient children. Marguerite is also a proud grandmother of eight.

Jacqueline Dillon, BSN,  RN, PCCN

Jacqueline Dillon, RN, currently practices at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis. She is the vice-president of the bargaining unit and serves as a union steward and is a member of the PNCC and staffing committee. She is a certified progressive care nurse. Jacqueline is a graduate of ONA's Nurse Leadership Institute (NLI), as one of the nurses in the programs first cohort. In her spare time, she likes to quilt, travel and spend time with her daughter.
Megan Satawa, RN
Recent Graduate Position

Megan Wright, RN, currently practices at Providence Seaside Hosptital in the outpatient infusion unit where she administers treatment and monitors patients receiving infusions of chemotherapy, biotheraphy and blood products. She graduated with high honors from Clatsop Community College and is chemotherapy/biotherapy certified. Megan is a member of the Oncology Nurse Society and the Infusion Nurse Society. She loves being outdoors during her spare time and spends time with her two fur babies, Peanut, a chihuahua, and Buttercup, a pug.

Billy Lindros, RN

Billy Lindros is currently retired after a 36-yea nursing career that included practicing in the ICU, nurse practice recruitment and home health and hospice. He was honored by the American Nurses Association, earning the 2010 Shirley Titus Award for his work around labor activities. He was the chairperson of the bargaining unit at Sacred Heart Home Care Services for 16 years. Billy and his wife, Julie Lindros, RN, met in the first week of nursing school at Lane Community College and they retired together in December 2014.

Diane Hedrick, RN
Diane has been an ONA member since graduating from nursing school in 1977. She has been a local bargaining unit President, negotiating team member and district delegate. She represented Eastern Oregon as an ONA Labor Relations Representative from 1986 until her retirement in December 2009. She has represented ONA for many years as an ANA delegate. In her retirement, she enjoys quilting, gardening and travel.
