Participate in a Study to Help Improve the Field of Nursing

To better understand the effects of age, coping and retirement among nurses, the School of Business Administration at Portland State University (PSU) is conducting research with currently employed nurses in collaboration with the Oregon Nurses Association (ONA). Your input can help us understand the extent to which nurses feel satisfied with and engaged in their work, their perceptions about burnout and how they cope with stress at work, how age is perceived in the workplace, and nurses’ intentions to retire or stay in the profession. We will prepare a series of recommendations based on the study findings and share them with ONA to help improve current work conditions and work environment for nurses.

To register as a potential participant, we invite you to complete a 3-minute registration survey by clicking on the link below. We urge those who are interested to register as soon as possible because participation will be limited to about 200 nurses, and therefore not all people who register will be able to participate. We would appreciate your registration by July 14, 2017.

If you are selected, we will contact you via email and ask you to fill out two questionnaires that will be separated by three months. In return for your participation and time, you will receive online Amazon credits up to $50.00 for completing two surveys.
