ONA Staff Leader Wins Book Award
ONA is pleased to announce that A Guide to Oncology Symptom Management, edited by ONA Assistant Executive Director for Professional Services Carl Brown, PhD, RN, AOCN, NEA-BC, FAAN, was recently named one of the best nursing publications of 2015 by the American Journal of Nursing (AJN).

The book was awarded third place in the 2015 AJN Book of the Year Awards in the medical-surgical nursing category. A Guide to Oncology Symptom Management gives nurses a comprehensive resource on how to treat oncology patients’ symptoms and help patients improve their quality of life.

“The accolades for this project really belong to those patients who have endured any of the many cancer symptoms. I’m honored to have the opportunity to bring great authors and subject matter experts together to produce this valuable book,” Brown said after learning of the award.

A Guide to Oncology Symptom Management is available through the Oncology Nursing Society here.
