ONA Districts and Constituent Associations Changes

Dear ONA Member,

As you know, the ONA House of Delegates made significant changes to the bylaws at its April 2012 meeting. The current District structure was modified to allow for alternate types of leadership structures now called Constituent Associations. Constituent Associations can be: an existing active district, bargaining unit or special interest group.

Below, you will find links to the policies adopted by the ONA Board on November 29, 2012, which detail the policy and procedures for implementing new bylaws language related to Constituent Associations.  The ONA Bylaws also contains the new language related to Constituent Associations.

Should your group wish to form, dissolve or alter a Constituent Association, please contact Kathy Gannett, Associate Director of Operations at 503-293-0011, extension 309, or via email at with your specific request and the appropriate petition will be forwarded to your group.

Additionally, if you have questions about the specific procedures or requirements of the new bylaws and adopted policies, please contact Kathy Gannett.
