2011 ONA Convention

Quick links

With the passage of the Health Care and Education Affordability Act, millions of people have greater protection against losing or being denied health insurance coverage, and better access to primary and preventative care. The implications for nursing practice are enormous, and nursing professionals across the nation need to know more about how National Health Care Reform is going to impact their profession and their practice. The 2011 Annual ONA Convention will focus attention on four key areas of practice that will be profoundly impacted
by National Health Care Reform, and these changes will have implications for all nursing professionals.

A total of 12.0 continuing nursing education contact hours are available under the Oregon Nurses Association CEARP program accredited as a provider of the California Board of Registered Nurses CE Program.  6.0 continuing nursing education contact hours are offered on Day 1: Labor CE Day and 6.0 continuing nursing education contact hours are offered on Day 2: CE Day.

In an attempt to reduce the amount of paper used and wasted throughout the three days of convention, ONA is moving away from paper handouts and is instead, providing the documents and handouts in digital format online. Click the link below to find the PDF versions of the handouts.  You can either download them for future reference or print them out if you know you will want a paper version.  By printing the handouts on a need basis, we can help reduce the amount of paper used and wasted!
