Clarice Gerlach, RN
Chair
 
Clarice is a full time Staff Nurses in the Critical Care, MICU at OHSU. Clarice has been involved at OHSU in a variety of nursing roles as Chair of Units UBPC for several years, Chair of the Standards for Critical Care Committee, Critical Care Cluster Council, part of Shared Governance on the Practice Council, and Code Response Nurse Development Committee (GRND). Clarice has recently become a delegate for District 52, been elected to serve on PNCC and the grievance committee. Clarice has been an ONA unit representative for the last year, helping to keep her colleagues informed on current events. Clarice holds a BS in Nursing and has been an RN for 28 years.
Sharon Rose, RN
Vice Chair
 
A medical staff charge nurse and unit representative on 7th floor at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center from 1996 to present with her primary nursing specialty being medical surgical. Sharon was grievance chair at Bess Kaiser Medical Center 1990-1996, and a negotiating team member at Holladay Park Hospital 1982-1984. Sharon holds an Associate Degree in Nursing and has been a registered nurse for 31 years. Sharon was appointed to Cabinet on E&GW on June 3, 2011.
George Haefling, BSN, RN
 
George Haefling, BSN, RN is a full time Staff Charge Nurse at Rogue Regional Medical Center (RRMC), Medford since 1981 to present. George is a skilled behavioral health professional with 29 years practical experience in an acute psychiatric hospital setting. George possesses leadership skills as evidenced through his years of service; he is Chair of the interdisciplinary unit based council, Chair of interdepartmental hospital based committee and incorporating Psychiatric, Emergency Department and Security Department personnel. George is a Crisis Intervention Instructor for RRMC and Three Rivers Community Hospital. George holds an Associate Nursing Degree, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. George was the recipient of the RRMC Nursing Excellence Award in 2012 and was recognized for his excellence in nursing by RRMC and nurse colleagues. George served on the RRMC ONA negotiating team from 1990 to present, unit executive as fundraising chair, membership chair, unit representative chair, current treasurer of the ONA RRMC negotiating team from 2009-present and a 12-time delegate to ONA conventions representing District 4. George was appointed to the Cabinet on E&GW on June 13, 2013.
Carolyn Starnes, RN
 
Carolyn Starnes, ADN, RN, has been a nurse at Mercy Medical Center (MMC) in Roseburg for more than 25 years. Since 2007, she has been a full-time Operating Room PACU nurse. Before that, Carolyn worked in the ER for three years in emergency patient care and managed the Pre-Op, Day Surgery and the Operating and Recovery rooms. Carolyn also worked as home health and hospice RN, in patient care for disease and medication, wound and pain care management. Currently Carolyn is the co-chair of the Mercy Medical Center Staffing Council, a member of the staffing coalition for ONA, a member of the unit base council for Surgical Services and the ONA Chair for Mercy Medical Center. Carolyn possesses great organizational computer proficiencies skills, is able to comprehend complex situations and quickly develop a sound solution a valuable attribute to bring to the E & GW Cabinet. Carolyn has an associate degree in nursing and her decisiveness and resolve to work hard has resulted in shaping an emerging leader. Carolyn was appointed to the Cabinet on E&GW on June 13, 2013.

Pam Gordon, RN
 
Pam Gordon was appointed to the Cabinet on E&GW as the Alternate Cabinet member on September 4, 2014. Pam is an IV Therapy nurse at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center (GSRMC) in Corvallis. Pam has been the GSRMC PNCC co-chair for several years. Pam's nursing experience started at the El Camino Hospital Mountain View, CA, where she worked as an ER staff nurse. She also worked as a Flex Nurse Assist, working throughout all departments as needed in times of crisis or high patient acuity.

Kevyn Paul, RN
Alternate

Kevyn Paul has been a full-time ER Department Charge Nurse at Sacred Heart Medical Center for the past eight years. Kevyn has been involve in a variety of roles, directing patient care and department flow; maintaining oversight of appropriate staffing levels and patient assignments, and facilitated interdisciplinary service delivery to maximize effective care ensuring safe patient outcomes.She is currently on the Sacred Heart ONA executive team, the Treasurer for the SHMC Bargaining Unit and a member of the grievance committee. Kevyn is also the ONA representative on the Sacred Heart Shared Governance Leadership Coordinating Council, formerly known as the Shared Governance Steering Committee. Kevyn is proud to be an advocate for professional nursing practice and for nursing staff. Kevyn has completed the LERC Collective Bargaining Institute labor school, AFL-CIO Summer School and also received the ULead certification from the University of Oregon’s Labor Education and Research Center.
