Measures 66 & 67 Passed!

Thank you to everyone who have volunteered, spread the message and provided support over the last few months!  This victory would not be possible without everyone's help.

Measures 66 and 67 raise the $10 corporate minimum income tax (for the first time since 1931) to $150 and raise the marginal tax rate on couples with income above $250,000. These measures protect middle-class families and preserve about $1 billion in funding for healthcare, education, and public safety.

Specifically, these measures could protect about $182.5 million for the Department of Human Services and the Commission on Children and Families – the equivalent of protecting:

  • 20,000 children’s health insurance coverage under the Oregon Health Plan ($22.7 million)
  • 2,000 seniors and people with disabilities’ in-home care ($9.8 million)
  • 2,000 seniors and people with disabilities’ care in assisted living facilities ($13.8 million)
  • 500 seniors and people with disabilities’ nursing home care ($16 million)
  • 20,000 adults, including seniors and people with disabilities’, health insurance coverage under the Oregon Health Plan ($71.5 million)
