Mercy Nurses United have a Tentative Agreement
At 8:30pm on Tuesday, June 22, ONA registered nurses and Mercy Medical Center reached a tentative agreement. Over 70 proposals were presented at the negotiation table, some language changes but most were "housekeeping" revisions. The negotiation team is recommending the tentatively agreed-upon agreement. Key victories include wage increases of 2% each year for two years, awith a reopener provision in the third year, keeping current contract language on core work schedules, education expenses of $750 per nurse paid by MMC at the time of registration, a fair system to award shifts on Concerro, and clearer language on delayed start. A newsletter with a more detailed summary of the tentative agreement and announcing vote date, time, and location will be mailed shortly.
